Why are People so Sick Today?

We have an epidemic of TOXICITY

  • Over 100 million Americans have the beginning stages of autoimmune disease.

  • Cancer, heart disease, diabetes are still skyrocketing

  • 1 in 2 kids is predicted to have autism by the year 2032 and other childhood illnesses are on the rise

  • Infertility is rising by 1-2% each year

  • Our generation has more toxin exposure than any other generation in history

  • The average baby born has over 200 toxins in its umbilical cord blood already

  • Our air is toxic, our water is toxic, our food is toxic and your home might be too

Toxins can impact your liver which affects your hormones and blood sugars, they can impact your gut which affects inflammation and immune system, toxins impact your brain which affects your mood, your drive and your energy.

Toxicity breeds stagnation and disease.

To limit the toxicity in our life, we must focus on reducing our exposure to toxins by cleaning up the products we use and our environment. Additionally, we need to support our natural ability to detox properly. To learn where to start, click here.

Before you load up on medications or supplements - how are you on these?

  1. Nature

  2. Spiritual Connection

  3. Actual Nutrients

  4. Quiet/Reflective Time

  5. Sunlight

  6. Quality Movement

  7. True Community

  8. Self Awareness

As a Functional Medicine practitioner, I always try to assess what are the biggest factors holding people back from being their healthiest self. The list from above keeps showing up for SO many people. They are what I deem the 8 things most Americans are severely deficient in.

Over tens of thousands of years, we’ve moved with the land, with weather, and with food. Today, we find ourselves severely disconnected from God, from Source, from our food, from animals, from sunlight, and nature overall. We can attribute part of this to the common addiction to our phones, and social media, the news — things meant to divide us and numb us. We can also see the mold of blue light, and all the artificial aspects (from food, to products, to our homes etc) of our modern-day life.

Our ancestral roots call us to be one with nature. We were not meant for such toxicities and I see how the artificial way of living affects people in different ways each day I work with patients. Overriding our natural and primal way of life has not led us to a place of better health, but rather far from it.

We’re meant to live with our tribe, value our relationships, be present and immersed in nature, connected to our food, connected to God and in touch with our emotions.

Slow down - take a breath - what do you want your life to look like? What would your healthiest self do on a daily basis?
